Happy Birthday: 25 Years Rick's Motorcycles!
Custom Chrome Europe partner Rick's Motorcycles celebrates 25 Years in business!
The smell of rubber is hanging over the Flugstraße of Baden-Baden/Germany – and the smoke is fading away quickly in the wind blowing over the wide upper Rhine valley between Blackwood Forest and the French Vosges mountains. September 27th-29th, the Rick's team celebrated the "quarter century" anniversary in style during the annual "Rick's Days" at the production facility in Baden-Baden Oos, since 2011 also home to Harley-Davidson Baden-Baden, one of the most active Harley-Dealers in the South-West! A quarter of a century that saw the rise of Rick's Motorcycles along with the Harley-Davidson boom of the Nineties and establish a rock-solid business well beyond all styles and short-lived trends: Custompart quality "Made in Germany".
With almost 300 parts in the current Custom Chrome Europe program – and more to come – Rick's Motorcycles is one of the long-term partners of CCE when it comes to TÜV-approved "Made in Germany" custom parts of highest quality. Rick's parts are renowned not just for their quality, style and reliability, the development team of Patrick "Rick" Knoerzer always has the focus on the simplification of the customizing procedure itself, thus optimizing the parts for easy assembly to current and previous Harley model lines. Innovative designs grant a clean look and often increase functionality of other components.Latest example are Rick's handlebar mounted turn signal brackets (CCE # 916296) for Kellermann's "Atto" indicators, which allow to mount the super-small indicators to any mirror mount. Rick's forward controls have for decades been an insider tip for smooth and exact shifting – and all Rick's components are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
The superb sheet metal/custom shop attached to the Rick's CNC-production has already built two outstanding "Bolt On and Ride" bikes: "Black Bob" (2013) and "Moccarica" (2018), both extremely rideable and clean looking! Other Rick's parts have been used in various "Bolt On And Ride" bikes through the years, including this year´s "El Gallito", featuring Rick's Touring headlight nacelle (CCE # 642953), triple-trees (CCE # 642954), side fillers (CCE # 642955), and "Good Guys II" air filter (CCE # 901737). During the 3-day anniversary celebrations, several new ideas were introduced – and Rick's obligatory 25th Anniversary Custom also features some CCE-distributed components: The Milwaukee Eight powered Bobber is equipped with a full set of EMD heads and covers. Congratulations from the Custom Chrome Europe team!
